“This year we had over 500 people attend the conference, participating in over 70 workshops over the course of the two days! It was a wonderful event and we are grateful to all of the keynote speakers, presenters, partners, sponsors and especially to all who came out to participate, to share your knowledge and skills and support one another in the work we are doing nationally and internationally! The Black Farmers & Urban Gardeners Conference is a national conference presented by Black Urban Growers (BUGs), an organization of volunteers committed to building networks and community support for growers in both urban and rural settings. Through education and advocacy around food and farm issues, we nurture collective black leadership to ensure we have a seat at the table.
