The Park from Delancey to Houston has never been cleaner than when Dimaira and her crew move through it: Hennesy, Jason, and Louie.
It is especially significant to have a woman running a Parks Department crew: leading women and men who willingly follow her example of enjoying hard work.
She makes the Sara Roosevelt Park safer by example as a woman who is respected by the local community, including those struggling with homelessness.
Her presence makes this park safer for women and girls.
Denard has the people skills to make the storehouse area safer when he is there. Jamil works hard to make a struggling park area work despite these hard times.
